 t Ernesto Galarza Elementary School in San Jose, Ca., students helped transform the new teacher's entrance into a unique expression of art. Student drawings of animals such as the deer, monkey, and rabbit - each representing years of the Aztec Calendar- were incorporated into a new rendition of this Mexican artifact. The two gates, which were needed to secure a private entrance, combine beauty and interest with functionality.
